Life Mantra: We’re like a bag of popcorn, everyone pops at a different time, don’t rush it. (or something like that)

Tyler was first introduced to CrossFit by two of her friends from nursing school. After nursing school, in a pursuit to feel better, stronger, and lose the excess weight from stress eating while studying, she started working 1:1 with a CrossFit coach.  The Kool-Aid was drunk and the rest is history 🙂  She enjoyed the variety and competitive edge that pushed her to work harder than she would alone in a traditional globo gym.  To further improve her health and performance, Tyler started working 1:1 with a nutrition coach and learning about counting macros.  She lost over 40 pounds and realized just how important nutrition is!  After some time as a member, Tyler went on to get her CrossFit L-1 and is now a coach at CrossFit Salisbury on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  Shortly after getting her L-1, she took the nutrition certification course from Precision Nutrition to offer more to her athletes.

By trade, Tyler is a Cardiothoracic Critical Care Nurse.  She received her Bachelors in Nursing from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.  She loves the fact that programs like CrossFit are designed to get the everyday person up and moving closer to health and wellness.  She became passionate about nutrition not only for personal benefit, but also to better educate her patients about heart healthy or diabetic diets.  Her personal favorite is helping other healthcare workers find balance in high stress/long hour work schedules.

Outside of work Tyler enjoys going to the beach, getting together with friends, and horseback riding.  Every now and then you can catch her competing in local CrossFit competitions with friends, or just settling in on the couch with a good book.
